I've been OBSESSED with the faux fur coat trend this season. I remember the day I got my first fur. . . it was way, way back on December 25 in 2017. Yes, I said 2017. I was that late to the trend and now that I'm on the faux fur bandwagon, I am not coming off! Not only do I indulge myself in faux fur fantasies but I give them to my clients whenever I can. As most of you know I am a personal stylist for the amazing Stitch Fix, so whenever I think a faux fur piece will complete a look I send it! I like to think of this article as my gift to the world.
1. CLASSIC LEOPARD PRINT
This is the classic faux fur coat and is a very similar shape and style to the one that I just recently got. This item is great because you can easily dress this up with your favorite cocktail dress for Valentine's Day date or down with the favorite jeans and turtleneck. And good news people, it's on sale!
2. Bomber Jacket Twist
I love this jacket because it is the perfect combination of two of my favorite trends! Bomber jackets have been very in for a few seasons and this is the perfect bomber jacket with a twist. Not only is it a fur but this particular piece from Forever21 is also color blocked which is one of my favorite ways to spice up an item! Bomber jacket + faux fur = LIFE
3. Color Poppin'
Nasty Gal has been one of mine and every millennial's favorite companies. It has really been such a privilege to see Sophia Amoruso transform this company into books, podcasts, a social media dynasty and New York rally. This fur is perfect. It has a classic shape and is in a fun pop of color! You can get this piece in three different colors too!
4. Vintage Shag
Dollskill is an amazing LA brand that is known for being different, edgy and eclectic. I am in love with anything vintage inspired especially if it's from the 70's when shag fur coats started popping up. Dollskill nails this look with this off-white oversized shag fur!
5. Shearling Denim
This piece is a play on a faux fur coat instead it has faux shearling lining and comes in three different denim washes. It's Levi so you know that it's durable and will last you as long as the style will. Pieces like these are super long-lasting. My father's Levi jacket from high school in the 80's is one of my most prized possession and I wear it anytime I get a chance!
