Everyone gets in a style rut sometimes. Some days you look in your closet and realize that one section may be on point and the other a mess. I recently found this in my closet. While I was reorganizing I realized I barely had any denim #GASP! I had a variety of leggings, pants, and joggers but barely any jeans. What's even worse is the jeans that I did have were not versatile at all instead multiples of the same style just slightly different. So I did a denim rehaul and these are the 4 way that I updated my denim:
1. Light wash
The first to do is the purchase a pair of light wash denim. A medium-light blend such as these balances out a wardrobe full of black and indigo colored denim. A denim like this brightens up any look and is perfect transitioning into spring and summer!
Boyfriend jeans are a HUGE trend this upcoming spring season! The trend is super versatile so you can get them distressed, in different color hues and different washes. You can even get a slimmer leg for a Girlfriend jean! These are perfect jeans because they give you a relaxed, casual look while still getting a fashion-forward look. Who said you can't be cute and comfortable?!
A personal hobby of mine has been embroidering. It's a fun way to design, get my creative juices flowing and relieve some stress along the way! I started a project of embroidering vintage mom jeans that I sourced from local thrift stores. I love customizing them to make them my own. I also sell them on my Depop and Etsy shop so click to find a pair for you!
Embellished denim is any pair of jeans that has another element added to it such as a pearl or stud that give the bottoms a 3-D look. I love having a wow factor in my looks so embellished denim + me = perfect match! I love the pearl embellishment especially since it creates something unexpected in an outfit.
